My Body Speaks
By Patricia Fernández Biebarach
Illustrated by Margarita Valdés
This book invites the littlest readers to explore different parts of the body through gestures and actions. Combing hair, sticking out a tongue, or looking at a belly button — each page invites the child to experiment with their own body. They can play alone or with others, but it's best when everyone joins in, whether with friends or family. Illustrator Margarita Valdés takes the perspective of little ones with a subtle, delicate style, so they never forget that discovering the world begins with their own body.
A board book with rounded corners, so children can handle it safely.

REVIEW
Learning about body parts, how they work, and how they form part of an interconnected system is a challenge children must overcome at every stage of development, so supportive guidance can make the difference between healthy and poor self-esteem. Good experiences teach us to accept and value our bodies. The first big physical challenge will be learning to walk alone, followed by an even bigger one: toilet training.
