It all began when Ruth Vázquez, founder of Origo, visited a vineyard and noticed something no one was using: the pomace — the skins, seeds and pulp left over from grapes — was simply discarded. Chile is one of the world's largest wine producers, and also one of the biggest sources of discarded pomace. Ruth saw something extraordinary in that waste.

The Process:

1. Certified organic vineyards in Chile, specifically the Quinta Región, with Carménère, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes
2. Rescuing the Pomace: We collect the skins, seeds and pulp left over after winemaking — raw material once considered waste.
3. Research and Testing: 3 years of scientific research with CREAS at PUCV confirmed its high antioxidant content
4. Your Infusion: A unique, natural tea, rich in antioxidants, with a flavor found in no other product on the market.

Origo transforms grape pomace — a winemaking byproduct — into a new material with real value. We redefine its cycle through circular economy, sustainability and innovation. This project, supported by CORFO, gives new life to a natural resource once considered waste, pushing the boundaries of traditional production and adding diversity to Chile's offerings.
